About our Location:

St Aubin is an attractive and popular fishing village in the west of the island, and has a wealth of shops and places to eat, as well as the harbour, churches, walks and beaches to offer the visitor. Outside of the village, however, there is plenty to see and do whether you are on foot or with bike, bus or car.

On foot: Apart from the delightful harbour area of St Aubin, there are many routes which the visitor can walk to explore the countryside above the village or the beaches and cliffs further along the coast. The Railway Walk which starts at St Aubin is a peaceful, mostly flat foot and cycle path that winds its way through the fields and woods as far as the Corbiere at the very western tip of Jersey. On the way, the visitor can stop to search the shops or have a bite to eat at Les Quennevais, have a round of golf at the La Moye Golf Course, or explore the stunning sand dunes at Les Blanches Banques. Meanwhile, for those who want the sights and sounds of the town, St Helier is accessible on foot on the seashore foot and cycle path that joins the town with St Aubin. This walk will take about an hour.

By bike: St Aubin is the cycling capital of Jersey, because it sits at the starting point of the island’s two main cycle tracks. One extends east from the village and hugs the Bay of St Aubin until it reaches the island’s main town of St Helier. On the way, the cyclist can stop for refreshments at one of the many cafes and kiosks, park up and take a stroll around the pretty Coronation Park at Millbrook, or visit the fountains and attractions of the Jardins de la Mer on the St Helier Waterfront. The other cycle track is the old Railway Walk that starts at St Aubin and proceeds through the parish of St Brelade as far as the famous lighthouse at Corbiere. This is a beautiful and mostly flat route that is ideal for a morning or afternoon outing. There is also a cycle hire centre in the village which many of our visitors make use of to hire a bike.

By bus: St Aubin is very well connected to the rest of the island by bus. From the village’s bus stops, you can reach the town of St Helier, as well the many attractions that the west of the island can offer: the Shell Garden, St Brelade’s Bay (a favourite with Bergerac!), the Winston Churchill Park, St Brelade’s Church and the Fisherman’s Chapel, the German bunkers at Noirmont, the Jersey Lavender Farm, Corbiere Lighthouse, the shops and cafes of Les Quennevais precinct, the airport and Aero Club, Jersey Bowl and the Jersey Rugby Club, St Ouen’s Bay, the island’s stunning sand dunes, Sunset Nurseries, Jersey Pearl, the Channel Islands Military Museum and more.

By car: St Aubin sits at the end of the island’s main east-west route, which takes the driver to the Jersey’s main town of St Helier. From St Aubin, however, it is also possible to use the main roads to visit the above listed attractions, as well as quieter lanes to explore the countryside and hidden bays of the island. The island’s road network allows the driver to explore all parts of it, so every place you could want to visit in Jersey is accessible to you.

Wherever you want to go in Jersey, we are the ideal place from which to start!
